This robotic water snake, called the ACM-R5 is equipped with paddles and passive wheels around its body and generates propulsive force by undulation. Each joint of the robot has its own CPU, battery, and motors so it can operate independently. This also allows it to be modular so that sections can be replaced and added very easily. I don’t know though, the whole thing just seems a bit too Alien for my tastes.. Watch the video and you’ll understand.
